Faculty members Steve Willemssen and Brenda Vishanoff along with graduating senior Michelle Suh will join professional Korean concert pianist Trudy Jin in an open recital on Monday, June 4, 2012 at 6:30 PM at the Windsor Auditorium in Carol Stream, Illinois.
Trudy Jin, who is the mother of Michelle Suh will be accompanied by her daughter on the oboe. Additionally, Wheaton Academy instrumental music teacher Steve Willemssen will perform on the piano along with director of admissions Brenda Vishanoff on the French Horn. The purpose of the recital is to honor the Lord, celebrate Michelle's graduation, and enjoy great music together. Works will include four-hand piano music by Mozart and Strauss in addition to a horn-oboe-piano trio and a horn solo.
Ms. Trudy Jin is a specialist of choir accompanying in Korea and has given seminars for choir accompanists nationwide. She earned a Bachelor and Master of Music (Piano Performance) from Seoul National University. In the United States she studied in the Master's program at SUNY-Buffalo and Doctoral program at University of Maryland at College Park, and also participated in the Vladimir Feltzman's Piano Instititue at New Palts. She has been a music director at Central Christian Academy. Currently she teaches at Kaywon High School of Music and Art and Sungkul University.
