Functional Ceramics

Functional ceramics is a beginning course in wheel pottery and hand building.  Students will learn the basics of throwing technique as well as coil, pinch and slab techniques.  Students will create individual pieces, fire and glaze them.  Surface embellishment will be explored.  Student-made pieces may be taken home and used.
