Interior Design

Flow, scale, proportion, balance, rhythm, line, texture, pattern, harmony, color, space, form, function, mood, style, facing wall, focal point, traffic patterns, upholstery, case goods, lighting, artwork and accessories are some of the elements and principles that will be taught.  Students will learn a brief history of design and about Christian interior designers.  Students will design a room of their choice.  Field trip will include Ikea & Walter E. Smithe to "shop" for their rooms.  Students will be required to create & present a Design Board of their room to the class.  Students will also get hands-on experience by ReDesigning  rooms.  Transportation will be provided by Wheaton Academy.
