Wheaton Academy PERFORMING ARTS

Wheaton Academy is proud to offer a wide range of curricular and co-curricular performing arts. Students are given opportunities to explore and develop their God-given gifts in the disciplines of theater, dance, and music. We invite you to click the buttons below to explore what is happening in each area.

There are many opportunities within the Fine Art department that do not require classroom particpation. There are co-curricular teams and clubs, as well as fall and spring shows. Contact a program head for more information.

Instrumental and choral classes require an audtion for placement. Those can be set up by contacting the program head. Theatre and dance classes do require an audition to sign up for the classes.

We have many students who particpate in athletics AND fine arts. We work hard to allow for students to do both. There may be conflicts as the student moves to the higher levels of both the atheltic team and the fine arts co-curricular. We encourage the student to talk to both the fine arts program head and the athletic coach to work around schedule conflicts and foresee possible issues.

Musical Theatre Performance class is a underclassman class that is designed to prepare students for areas of choral, dance and theatre. Students take this year-long class, with an emphasis on skill development during the first semester and musical production in the second semester. The students perform their musical in the White Chapel late in the second semester.
