On January 7, 2008, Wheaton Academy students embarked on their two week Winterim experiences. Some students took morning classes such as Poverty and Social Justice, WWII: A World at War, and Disciplines of a Godly Woman, as well as afternoon classes such as Cooking for Guys, Mural Wall Painting, and Sports Films: A Character Study. Other students went on trips to such places as Costa Rica, France and Normandy, and New Orleans. Still others spent two weeks doing internships at law offices, marketing firms, among other locations.
